Speedway Stadium in Zielona Góra
The project involved the modernization of the grandstand of the speedway stadium in Zielona Góra at 69 Wrocławska Street. As part of the project, the reinforced concrete structure was replaced, and a new roof was installed. Thanks to the modifications carried out, the new grandstand can accommodate over 6,000 fans in 25 rows.
The Zielona Góra stadium was built by the Old Gymnastics Association (ATV – Alte Turn-Verein) and was officially opened on June 5, 1926. It was a showcase not only for the ATV club but also for pre-war Zielona Góra. One of the largest investments since the construction of the facility was the modernization of the grandstand on the southeast curve, on the first bend, carried out by ALSTAL Construction Group during the winter break of 2010/2011.
The project also included the demolition of part of the old stadium. The stadium crown embankment was removed, railings, advertising boards, stairs, as well as reinforced concrete supports and sidewalks were dismantled.
