Silesian Opera in Bytom
The investment under the name “Carrying out conservation, restoration, and construction works to increase the attractiveness of the Silesian Opera and protect its cultural heritage” involved adapting the existing building to the current needs of this type of cultural institution. The new building of the Silesian Opera meets the socio-cultural needs of the city’s residents, the region, as well as the entire Silesian agglomeration. The area of over 6,000 m2 was subject to reconstruction.
The investment involved the reconstruction, expansion, and superstructure of the building in terms of construction, installation, and conservation. Additionally, the stage was rebuilt, where a modern technological mechanism was installed. The existing electrical and mechanical elements of the stage were secured, restored, and made accessible to visitors, who can thus learn about the history of this place. As part of the project, the area around the Silesian Opera was also developed. The investment was carried out under the design and build system.
