Reconstruction of the facility for Leroy Merlin
Giga Market at 101 Toruńska Street, with an area of 11,000 m², offers 42,000 articles for home decoration and construction. This is the 70th Leroy Merlin store in Poland. The company employed 160 people, from managers, supervisors, through designers, logisticians, IT specialists, cashiers, and salespeople.
The scope of work included the reconstruction of the former Tesco shopping center in Bydgoszcz and its adaptation into a Leroy Merlin building materials store. The parking lots and necessary technical infrastructure were modernized. For customers, 150 parking spaces were prepared in front of the store and 650 in the underground garage. There are also spaces for disabled persons and racks for cyclists. As part of the investment, a building materials yard, a special fire-fighting reservoir, and all necessary installations were created: ventilation, water and sewage, central heating, and fire protection. Additionally, steel structures were used to reinforce the building’s ceiling, and the area around the facility was developed. The total area of the shopping center is as much as 20,784 m².
