Navigational Marking Base in Gdańsk
The project involved the modernization and expansion of the infrastructure of the Navigational Marking Base in Gdańsk along with the development of the surrounding area. The work included, among other things, the demolition of the fuel warehouse building as well as the workshop and warehouse-workshop buildings.
In the facility belonging to the Maritime Office in Gdynia, demolition work was carried out on parts of the existing buildings. Additionally, the administrative and social building was rebuilt along with the buoy hall “A”. A new entrance and fencing also appeared on the plot.
ALSTAL Construction Group additionally constructed hardened surfaces on the remaining area of plots no. 45, 46, and 49.2, as well as a fender line for the high quay, which is the mooring place for the s/v Zodiak vessel.
The Navigational Marking Base, belonging to the Gdańsk Maritime Office as it was called in the 1960s, was established as an independent facility in 1964. Its tasks include, among others, the preparation and maintenance of navigational markings, the removal of obstacles, and the repair of failures related to navigational signs.
