MotoArena Speedway Stadium in Toruń

MotoArena Speedway Stadium in Toruń

The Marian Rose Stadium in Toruń is among the most modern speedway facilities in the world. The stands on two levels accommodate a total of 15,506 seated spectators and 3,000 standing places. During the construction of the stadium, a full roof covering the stands was erected.

The speedway track, with a total area of 5,308 m², has a length of 325 meters, including straights of 62 meters. The core area of the track measures 6,863 m². A 3-meter space separates the barriers from the audience. An innovative solution applied during the track’s construction is its inward banking. On the straights, it is about 4%, and on the bends, 6-7%. Thanks to this, speedway riders reach higher speeds and find it easier to overtake during the race. The multitude of racing lines and overtaking opportunities are the main advantages of the Toruń oval.

The northern part of the facility is reserved for the machine park with places for 50 riders.

The track is illuminated by lamps with a total intensity of 1200 lux, while lighting with an intensity of 1000 lux is suspended under the roof to illuminate the stadium surface.

The stadium grounds at 7 Pera Jonssona Street also include parking for 502 passenger cars, 12 buses, and 94 VIP spots.

Besides speedway matches, the stadium serves residents as a concert arena. In 2012, a concert by José Carreras, one of the world’s most famous tenors, honored the celebrations of the 777th anniversary of Toruń receiving city rights.

In 2019, MotoArena was recognized in the category of Sports Facilities of the Two Decades as part of the nationwide program “Building a Sporting Poland.” Hala Sportowo-Widowiskowa Arena Toruń
