Expansion with reconstruction of the MONDI SIMET production plant
As the general contractor, we carried out a project that included the expansion with reconstruction of the existing MONDI SIMET production plant. Our role in the project involved comprehensive investment management – from the execution design to construction works, starting from earthworks, through the structure, up to installations and finishing works.
The scope of the investment included the expansion of the existing plant with additional space divided into: finished goods warehouse, paper warehouse, pallet warehouse, and production area, construction of a two-story social and utility building BSB and the LOG office building. We also built a single-story driver service building, a soakaway tank, and a sealed water tank. Additionally, we carried out road infrastructure, parking lots including a truck parking lot, and sidewalks.
The total area of the hall we built is 17,000 m², with 1,200 m² constituting the social and office part. As part of the implementation, we installed HVAC, water and sewage, electrical, and fire protection systems including a sprinkler installation. The building structure was made of prefabricated elements and steel, the hall facade from sandwich panels, and the roof was covered with sheet metal and wool with a membrane covering.
Thanks to excellent coordination of activities, the investment was completed on schedule and meets the highest quality standards. The completion of this project is another step in the development for Alstal Construction Group and proof that we are capable of executing demanding investments in the industrial sector.
