Expansion of the technical facilities for the maintenance and servicing of the rolling stock of Koleje Dolnośląskie S.A.
The technical facilities of Koleje Dolnośląskie are located in Legnica at 1 Pątnowska Street. A new building was added to the already existing railway rolling stock service hall. The first part of the building is two stories high. On the ground floor, there is an automatic washing station with an area of over 1000 m2 and a length of about 120 meters, and on the upper floor, office and social rooms are located.
The next part of the building is the repair hall, where three service bays were created – drive-through, arranged on service pits with a total length of over 300 meters. The third part includes technical, storage, and workshop rooms as well as an under-track lathe hall.
Photovoltaic panels and ventilation and air conditioning devices were installed on the roof of the hall. Around the facility, on an area of over 22,000 m2, railway sidings, hardened maneuvering yards, parking lots, and green areas were created.
The total area of the constructed building is 6598.33 m2, and the volume is as much as 67,105 m3. On the investment site, a high-storage warehouse shed, a fuel station with underground tanks for refueling combustion vehicles, and two sewage disposal stations were also built. Both buildings are founded on reinforced concrete piles.
The facility is equipped with modern exhaust gas extraction technology, two overhead cranes, and a laser wheel measurement station. As part of the underground infrastructure, retention tanks with a capacity of 200 m3 and underground fire protection and washing technology tanks were constructed. As part of the external infrastructure, railway traction and retaining walls were built.
