Expansion of the Oncology Center of the Jan Paweł II Municipal Hospital in Bielsko-Biała
The expansion project of the Oncology Center of the Jan Paweł II Municipal Hospital in Bielsko-Biała involved constructing a five-story building adjacent to the existing oncology hospital, connected to the old structure by a linking corridor. The new building includes, among others: a department for isotope therapy treatment and four modern operating rooms.
As part of the investment on Wyzwolenia Street in Bielsko-Biała, ALSTAL built a new hospital pavilion. The facility has five floors with a usable area of 4,650.26 m². The underground section houses, among others, the Isotope Therapy Department, while the ground floor contains treatment rooms and imaging diagnostics. The next two floors accommodate patient rooms, and the top floor features four modern operating rooms. According to the plan, the new pavilion was connected by a corridor to the existing building.
The Beskid Oncology Center – Jan Paweł II Municipal Hospital in Bielsko-Biała consists of three organizational units: the oncology center, a general hospital including neurology, intensive care, gynecology, obstetrics, neonatology, cardiology, and general surgery, as well as a facility with a nursing and care unit and a palliative medicine ward.
The hospital admits approximately 28,000 patients annually and provides about 133,000 specialist consultations.
