CSIR OLENDER in Wielka Nieszawka
The recreational facility in Wielka Nieszawka near Toruń is the largest water sports and leisure complex in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, located on a plot of 1 hectare.
The main attractions of the aquapark are: a sports pool with six lanes, a recreational pool, and slides over 80 meters long, the Orchidea SPA, and a sauna zone including: dry saunas, a brine sauna, a steam sauna, and an infrared sauna.
On the premises of “Olender” there is also a bowling alley with a club and a sports-practice shooting range with five shooting stations with a 25-meter axis length. The complex is complemented by a conference center with three spacious rooms, a three-star standard hotel with 28 double rooms, and the Tulipanowa restaurant with a panoramic view of the picturesque surroundings.
The facility is largely heated using renewable energy – geothermal heat and solar energy.
The entire water sports and recreational complex was named “Olender” in memory of the former settlers from the Netherlands who settled the Vistula River area several hundred years ago. The culture of the Netherlands is also referenced in the names of individual parts of the complex: the “Tulipanowa” restaurant and the “Dutch Clogs” club.
