Covered Łabędź Swimming Pool in Bydgoszcz
As part of the investment, a modern covered swimming pool was built, which will be used both by the students of School Complex No. 8 in Bydgoszcz and the entire local community. The project also included the creation of the necessary technical infrastructure and the development of the school grounds. In this way, a playground, green areas, and parking spaces were created. The new facility was connected to the existing school building.
The pool features a basin made of stainless steel measuring 25×12.5 meters with a variable depth from 1.20 to 1.80 meters. The pool has six swimming lanes, each equipped with starting blocks. The facility is equipped with two SPA tubs and paddling pools for children with depths of 0.15 and 0.30 meters, featuring water attractions. The modern facility has been adapted for people with disabilities.
The pool area is glazed, which makes the interior of the swimming pool very well lit by natural light. The impressive west-south facade is made of panels covered with a crystalline coating, creating a surprising color effect. As a result, the colors change depending on the viewing angle and the direction of the light. Caring for the environment, 50 photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 27.28 kW were installed on the roof of the building.
